We are seeking a skilled ADAS Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building feature scenarios, creating test criteria, and executing simulation tests using CarMaker and Simulink. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for building automating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) bench and the corresponding test run to ensure the reliability and safety of our ADAS feature.
- ADAS Feature Simulation:
- Develop and execute high-fidelity simulations for L2 ADAS functions based on CarMaker and Simulink platforms.
- Design and implement feature simulation scenarios for L2 ADAS feature.
- Integrate and validate ADAS algorithms, including perception, decision making, and control within simulated scenarios.
- Analyze simulation results to identify system limitations and optimize ADAS functionality.
- Collaborate with software and system engineers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and to integrate simulation feedback into development cycles.
- ADAS Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Setup:
- Design and implement HIL test benches for L2 ADAS components to enable real-time testing with physical hardware.
- Integrate sensors, ECUs, and actuators into the HIL environment, implement data injection and rest bus simulation to create realistic test conditions.
- Develop test cases and automation scripts to support efficient regression testing and validation.
- Work closely with hardware teams to troubleshoot and enhance HIL system performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in ADAS simulation and HIL methodologies, correspondingly update ADAS simulation platform and HIL bench.
- Bachelor’s degree or above, with background in automotive, E&E, automation, computer science.
- 5+ years of related experience in automotive development.
- Proven experience with CarMaker and Simulink in ADAS simulation.
- Experience in building and maintaining HIL setups for ADAS or other automotive systems.
- Proficient in scripting languages (MATLAB, Python, etc.) for automation and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of ADAS functionalities, vehicle dynamics, and automotive control systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
- Experience with real-time operating systems or embedded software. Background in control theory, sensor fusion, or computer vision is a plus.
