We are the Apple Field Design Engineering Connectivity group specializing on Connectivity technologies such as WiFi/BT, GPS, NFC and UWB. As part of our Wireless Systems Validation, you’ll be responsible validating system performance in lab and field environments with goal of providing a good customer experience! We are looking for highly motivated and passionate engineer to work on evaluating System performance for WiFi/BT technologies into Apple’s Wireless products. You’ll help improve the performance of our products through Innovation and collaboration across hardware and software groups. You will be responsible for validating the performance and functional aspects of Wireless on Apple products from a user experience perspective throughout their development lifecycle, from early prototypes to post-release phases. Your role will also involve ensuring that Wireless on Apple products remains at the forefront of technological advancements. You'll conduct in-depth analysis and proposing improvements to innovative technologies developed at Apple through focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end-user connectivity experiences. Key Responsibilities Include: -Developing and running Wi-Fi test plans with a primary focus on user experience to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. -Performing failure analysis to identify hardware or software issues through laboratory and field experiments. -Conducting in-depth Wi-Fi/BT analysis of hardware, software, and system issues, including protocol stack analysis (PHY, MAC, Network, and Application layers). -Generating comprehensive system performance test reports that include key performance indicators, highlighting critical issues, and providing a concise, data-driven summary for senior management review. -Applying your data-driven expertise and deep engineering knowledge to influence program decisions. -Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of Wi-Fi/BT R&D or validation experience
- Wi-Fi/BT technology (Protocol, Phy and RF) deep understanding, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
- Experience on Wi-Fi/BT log analysis, identifying root cause, design of experiments, debugging skills to resolve HW/SW/System issues
- Deep understanding on wireless communication theory, RF/OTA/Antenna technologies
- Familiarity with test instruments such as RF Signal Generators, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, etc
- Testing technology; System and User Experience performance evaluation experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master/Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and other upper layer protocols
- Basic programming experience in Matlab/Python/Shell
- System end to end or link level simulation experience
- Open to travel and perform field testing Able to work independently with strong multitasking skills
