A sales trader acts as the point person for their clients to access firm execution capabilities; responsible for
providing market information and market commentary, research-based execution advice and ideas and managing
and executing client orders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide market information, commentary and execution ideas to clients with the objective executing orders

on their behalf

• Translate research and market commentary into execution/trading ideas.
• Access and leverage firm inventory and other clients' inventory and order flow to source liquidity for clients
• Effectively manage and execute client orders, with the goal of making UBS the clients' firm of choice to meet

their objectives

• Adhere to all applicable regulations and internal policies including but not limited to quality of execution

(example: best execution), trading activities (example: Volcker), pricing, hedging, trading limits and
compliance policies

• Follow, adhere to and promote the UBS principles and behaviours acting with integrity, due skill, care and

diligence at all times

• Ensure escalation and disclosure of any information of which applicable regulators would reasonably expect

notice

• Observe proper standards of market conduct while paying due regard to interests of customers and treating

them fairly

• Where supervising other members of staff, ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies

via effective supervision and oversight with reference to the Principles of Good Supervision.
