- 1.Strategic Sourcing & Category Management at project level
- Develop and manage strategic partnership agreements that define supplier/customer relationships and ensure commercial excellence.
- Support category strategy development by analyzing market trends, supply chain dynamics, and internal requirements.
- Align sourcing strategies with global business goals and procurement leverage opportunities.
- Lead RFQ for critical categories at project level and drive vendor selection, negotiate cost and T&C's with suppliers in NPD process.
- 2.Supporting Supplier Relationship Management
- Implement structured communication plans with suppliers to review performance, align priorities, and promote innovation under the guidance of GCMs.
- Drive supplier performance improvement through regular business reviews and KPI tracking.
- 3.Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with PPL, engineering, quality, finance, and operations teams to ensure sourcing strategies support product development and operational goals.
- Participate in cross-functional teams (CFTs) to identify and act on cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Support schedule pull-in/push out and business requirements for aligning project goals.
- 4.Risk Management & Compliance at project level
- Support PPL to perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for supply disruptions, regulatory changes, and geopolitical risks if required.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including contract terms and ethical sourcing standards.
- 5.Performance & Cost Optimization
- Being able to drive quick turn samples
- Collect cost breakdown information of suppliers' quotation
- Meeting cost target and/or drive subsequent cost reduction plan to meet the target
- 6.Capability Development & Knowledge Sharing
- Build and mentor high-performing category teams; promote knowledge transfer and best practice sharing.
- Leverage digital tools (e.g., Coupa, Power BI) to enhance procurement intelligence and decision-making.
- 7.Collaborate with ross Functional teams upfront to ensure new project flawless launch on time.
- BOM cost alignment/accuracy - NPD BOM
- Set up info-record in SAP
- Supplier readiness
- Material deliverable on time for sample build
- PPAP/component qualification on time
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- University/ College degree in engineering discipline
- Above 5 years of sourcing and supplier management experience.
- Familiarity with electronics/mechanical components, sensitive of cost.
- Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing process (die casting, micro stamping, stamping, molding, overmolding, assemblies in general).
- International sourcing experience required and ability to develop and evaluate foreign sources.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering drawings, quality systems requirements and customer specifications. Also require ability to understand component requirements and communicate requirements to suppliers.
- Knowledgeable to use SAP/ERP, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word and Project management.
- Good oral English.
