The Role
Veeva Pulse is our new data product that collects big data from multiple sources to provide customer benchmarks and industry insights to Veeva customers in order to help the industry become more efficient and effective. We are looking for a data-centric software engineer to join our rapidly expanding Pulse team to develop a highly scalable, high-performance big data analytics engine and ETL platform.
What You'll Do
- Participate in all aspects of the SDLC
- Design solutions with high scalability and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, other engineers, and domain experts to design and develop cutting-edge applications in life science
- Write clean, testable, readable code in a team environment using design
- Contribute to troubleshooting and technical support of the product
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software product development
- Experience coding analytics in Python
- Experience with application development in Java using frameworks such as Spring
- Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL
- Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Experience writing Python for data science projects
- Experience writing cloud software on the AWS platform
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience with Spring framework
- Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product development
