Summary:
This position is responsible to work out new product design drawings according to the information from the application engineer and design rules.
Act leader for project and proto. The employee is also responsible for making working instructions, BOM and routings for prototype and mass production preparation; Make new tooling/jig/packaging for manufacturing and instruct prototype engineer to make part.
Essential Functions:
Work out new product design drawings according to the information from the application engineer and design rules, include feasibility study, such as DFM 40%
Manage prototypes’ progress to meet customers’ needs as a project leader, include special materials/jigs readiness and lead related customers’ feedback with the application engineer 20%
Design/define new tooling/jig/packaging for manufacturing and instruct prototype team to make the products, include FAI(*** article inspection) 15%
Set up BOM and routings for prototype and mass production preparation 10%
Work with Process engineer and quality engineer in new process development and new concept realization to pursue process excellence 10%
Other works assigned by the direct supervisor 5%
Qualifications:
- Education: BS engineering degree in mechanical engineering
Years of Experience: Above 8 years‘ experience in mechanical design, knowledgeable in writing working instructions, detailed routings and drawings
Knowledgeable in drawings, routings and writing working instructions
Knowledge in mechanical manufacturing process
Project Management experience
Good skills of Solid Works or AutoCAD
Knowledge of Quality system, APQP, PPAP, FMEA
Logic thinking with creative idea
Good communication skills both in Chinese & English
Good team spirit and high accountability
MS Office Software skill
