Acts as the partner to Account Managers in the sales process, bringing technical expertise to win a sale. Has dep insight into the customer environment and pain points and is able to position solutions to those pains. Works closely with application area Field Marketing to develop the marketing plan.
Your Role:
- Work in partnership with sales in customer interactions to position and present our offerings. Use ability to match customer pains with gains to aid the sales process
- Use strong practical expertise of customer operational environment in specific application area to assist Sales, Field Marketing and other stakeholders to better understand the customer operational environment
- Demonstrate strong technical product expertise focused on formulation application area including both solid and liquid applications, and act as a technical information source in the sales process
- Conduct in-depth process reviews, bringing real value to the customer operations
- Have excellent competitive positioning knowledge and exploit this to assist Sales, Field Marketing and other Stakeholders to better understand competitive environment
- Actively participate in the sales tactics development with Field Marketing Specialist and execution with Account managers. Interface with MSAT at the correct stage in the sales process. Support implementation of corporate initiatives and product cycle management in field (e.g. drive conversion, product adoption, product obsolesce etc)
- Provide frequent and detailed input concerning the effectiveness of company strategy to the Field Marketing Specialists, both formally and informally
- Be a resource for required technical trainings
- Technical Knowledge & Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, especially in formulation development (e.g., buffer systems, excipient functionality).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals and excipients (e.g., GMP, ICH guidelines) and global regulations (e.g., NMPA, FDA, EMA).
- Experience & Skills:
- Over 5 years in business development and technical support in the biopharmaceutical sector, focusing on excipients, drug delivery systems, or formulation additives.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical (R&D, QC, manufacturing) and non-technical audiences (customers, sales, marketing).
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration, aligning customer needs with internal objectives to enhance business growth and client satisfaction.
- Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data (e.g., stability reports) into commercial or regulatory strategies.
- Customer-focused, skilled at identifying market opportunities and providing tailored solutions based on product knowledge and industry trends.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, capable of preparing technical presentations and responding professionally to customer inquiries.
