Job Title: Reward Manager
Reports to: Head of Reward, WPP Media Greater China
Location: Shanghai
Role Summary:
The Reward Manager is a critical role within the WPP Media Reward team, responsible for the effective management and administration of the organization's compensation and reward programs. This role is responsible for budget and forecast, leading the process and consolidation the data and also critical for annual salary review, bonus pay-out process and reward analysis to ensure our compensation is competitive in the market. The Reward Manager will play a key role in ensuring our compensation practices are aligned with our business strategy, competitive in the market, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Planning & Administration:
- Lead and manage the annual salary review process, including data collection, analysis, and communication.
- Administer the bonus payout process, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Develop and maintain salary ranges and job leveling structures.
- Participate in salary surveys and conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Provide guidance to managers and HR Business Partners on compensation-related matters.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the compensation budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Lead the budget process, consolidating data from various sources and ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare regular reports on compensation trends and budget performance.
- Reward Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth reward analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of compensation programs.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve compensation strategies.
- Market Competitiveness:
- Research and analyze market compensation data to ensure the organization's compensation packages are competitive.
- Participate in industry surveys and benchmark compensation practices against peer companies.
- Identify and recommend adjustments to compensation programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage compensation-related projects, such as the implementation of new compensation programs or systems.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on compensation strategies.
- Provide training and support to managers and employees on compensation-related topics.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of HR Reward experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent data sense and attention to detail.
- Good English Skill (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of compensation principles and practices.
- Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations.
