Plant Breeding Research Assistant is responsible for supporting productivity improvements by accelerating research and development activities in plant breeding. The role focuses on the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of plant breeding trials, particularly in oil palm.
Job description:
- Monitor the progress of plant breeding trials in designated regions.
- Regularly update trial reports.
- Analyze trial results and submit scientific reports.
- Arrange and supervise field workers to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Contribute to database development to support the biometry section.
- Handle budgeting activities related to plant breeding trials.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree (S-2) in Plant Breeding or Agronomy.
- Bachelor’s degree (S-1) may be considered with relevant experience.
- Preferably experienced in field/research work.
- Knowledge of quantitative genetics and oil palm plantation systems is a plus.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Willing to be based in South Sumatra.
