Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Day to Day Responsibilities
o Manage quality systems (including quality architecture, ISO/TL documentation, records retention, etc.) in CSFOC and quality team to ensure that the fiber meet all customer requirements
o Responds quickly and effectively to customer complaints and issues with AE, commercial. Serves as the customer advocate in CSFOC
o Collaborates with plant and division innovation/engineering teams to evaluate new product needs and translate them to meaningful plant specifications. Identifies and defines all required measurement protocols
o Works with process and product improvement teams regarding key product attributes to develop appropriate control strategies and feedback loops to make sure product attributes perform as expected.
o Deploy division quality strategy to plant quality strategy and drive the execution, continuously improves Total CoQ
o Organize plant resource for continuous quality improvement and EPO
o Provide statistical design and analysis services to internal plant departments
o Promote quality culture and div quality strategy
o Oversees all customer quality audits in CSFOC. Leads corrective action teams to resolve audit deficiencies
o Comply with company objectives and goals on Safety and EH requirement, obey all company EHS rules (Include: Policy, Procedure, SOP and other requirements).
Education & Experience
o Bachelor of Engineering degree or above, major in optics or optical communication is a plus
o At least 5 years people management and 3 + years project management experience
o Experience in Manufacturing, fiber manufacturing is a plus

o Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize their workload to ensure maximum benefit for the customers and the company
o Quality control system development and improvement skills
o Advanced written and oral communication skills in English
o Familiar with ISO9000, TL9000 standards
o Knowledge of PEx with experience
o Excellent data analysis and project management skills
