The Role:
The Production Designer works closely with the Creative Director to help design and execute marketing materials for Retail Stores specifically for Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) according to the brief and guidance from the Creative Director and Producers.
As a Production Designer, you will primarily ensure the flawless development, adaptation, and execution of world-class communications. In collaboration with the Creative Director, Producers & the Writing team, you will be jointly responsible for ensuring the brand’s standards are upheld and that the tone of voice is consistent with the global standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Creative Director to design, adapt and validate the localized marketing materials covering digital, print, and video work based on WW guidance for Greater China.
- To design and develop creative communications for stores.
- Learn and uphold the client’s quality standards to ensure global brand consistency.
- Hands-on design work for deliverables specifically originated for the Greater China markets.
- Follow through to the production of the deliverables with a deep understanding of the processes involved in producing the work to ensure high quality results.
- Have a strong knowledge of the creative development process and highly skilled in understanding and implementing feedback and direction on the work.
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with other creative staff members, vendors, and freelancers, driving to shared goals and embracing collaboration.
- Be able to work to define, and often tight, deadlines on assigned projects by finding a quick and effective resolution to design challenges.
Requirements:
• Ideally, a diploma or degree in the design field and a minimum of 5 years in a Designer role, ideally within advertising, design agencies or in-house creative team
• Strong knowledge of and skill in using design tools – Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- A solid understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, colour theory and composition.
- Able to create visually appealing and practical designs for both print and digital mediums.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in their designs. They should be meticulous in checking for errors, typos, and inconsistencies before finalizing and delivering their work and validating WW localization work.
- Portfolio showcasing the designer’s skills and creativity, including a diverse range of design projects, demonstrating proficiency in various design software and techniques.
- Experience with large, international brands with the retail environment.
- Demonstrable experience working with both print and digital is strongly preferred.
- Able to work under pressure and within short time frames.
- Teamwork - easy to get along with - be able to work with Artworkers and Graphic Production Artists.
- Strong communicator with excellent Mandarin and basic English language skills.
