Position Overview
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead the mechanical engineering team and be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for their products. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to optimize product designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project requirements to determine the best engineering solutions.
- Oversee the testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Manage resources, budgets, and schedules for engineering projects, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the mechanical engineering department.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop engineering teams.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin are required.
