Primary Purpose of the Position:
- Lead and conduct tire modeling and computer simulation to help team’s design choices and predict tire performances to meet customer’s technical targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new products tire following design standards, according to priorities and performance objectives agreed on and using experimental as well as predictive approaches.
- Learn, understand and apply the Global Design standards, best practices and Release Process.
- Identify and Communicate any process and tool improvement items.
- Ensure product conformity to internal, external and legal standards.
- Identify, communicate, and lead any guidelines/standards & best practices improvement items.
- Coach others on guidelines/standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or any related fields is required (Master’s degree in engineering, physics or any related fields is desired)
- Computer design and modeling experience (catia V5, abaqus, solidworks…) with finite element analysis (FEA) experience desired
- Product Design Experience desired.
- Knowledge in Statistical tools (minitab…), basic programing (VBA) is an asset
- MS Office (World, Excel, Power Point).
- Ability to define and execute projects within a muti-cultural team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
