This role will support the Music Commercialization Director in planning and executing physical releases and merchandise campaigns.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead the end-to-end design, production, and quality control of artist physical albums and merchandise, ensuring visual consistency and commercial viability. (40%)
- Act as the primary liaison with artists and creative teams to translate artistic vision into compelling packaging, booklet layouts, and collectible extras. (30%) Track market trends in physical music and lifestyle goods, adjusting product specs, formats, and pricing strategies in real time. (20%)
- Provide ad-hoc project management support for special campaigns (e.g., box-sets, anniversary reissues, pop-up retail installations). (10%)
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience in physical music packaging or premium merchandise development, ideally within the music, entertainment, or lifestyle sector.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and familiar with print techniques, paper stocks, and special finishes (foil, embossing, spot UV, etc.).
- Strong artist-facing communication skills: comfortable translating creative concepts into technical specs and negotiating approvals with managers, labels, and talent.
- Data-driven mindset: able to read market and fan-consumption trends to adjust formats, price-points, and edition sizes on the fly.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (designers, printers, logistics, e-commerce, legal) and managing external vendors and budgets.
- Detail-oriented, quality-obsessed, and capable of running multiple SKUs simultaneously without compromising standards.
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
- Passion for music culture and a collector’s appreciation for physical products.
