Position Summary
In the position of Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for goods movement, coordinating shipments between manufacturers, customers, and logistics service providers. Monitor transport related SAP system inputs, freight invoices cost verification, shipping documents preparation and continuous improvement to drive and sustain a high level of data integrity in the system and documentation.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate logistics, transportation of finished goods, raw materials and promotional items between suppliers, manufacturers, forwarders, and customers.
- Freight cost invoice verification, freight cost accrual and freight forwarder assignment entries in SAP.
- Verify and address export, import matters and processes, duties and tax rates verification, applying correct codes to ensure compliance with the law and company standards. Work with Government bodies in different markets to obtain import permits and licenses with support and supervision from internal teams.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, apply international logistics knowledge to establish new carriers and carry out related paperwork, potentially roll out freight tenders and set freight metrics to ensure service consistency, service levels and fair competition for logistics and forwarding suppliers.
- Communicate with customers, dispatchers and drivers regarding delays, issues and updates. Work with production plant, local operation team and customers to ensure they will be able to receive in time.
- Analyzing supply chain data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and saving opportunities.
- Ensure operational standards, policies, procedures, and practices are followed in a timely and consistent manner.
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes, communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
Position Requirements
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Business Administration, Business, Analytics, Accounting, Supply Chain or related field of study.
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Industry.
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in international freight shipping methods, specialized services.
- Computer Skills Desired: Advance user Microsoft office.
- Preferred Certifications: Ability to use computer-based ERP system, SAP experience preferred – ECC, MM ,MRP.
- Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Fluent English preferred.
