About the role
As an Associate in our Construction Advisory & Disputes team, you will be involved in advising clients throughout all phases of construction projects and formal dispute resolution, such as arbitration and mediation. You’ll assist the senior lawyers and partners in cases, including negotiating settlements and managing claims, while collaborating closely with stakeholders and external experts. Key tasks include drafting high-quality legal documentation, building strong client relationships, overseeing case budgets, and working within a dynamic, collaborative team. The role also includes opportunities for business development, cross-practice cooperation, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
What we are looking for
- 1-4 years PQE; ideally in an international law firm environment.
- Solid background in construction law, with hands-on international experience in contract review, drafting, claims, and negotiation.
- Technical excellence combined with commercial awareness and a strong interest in business development.
- Proactive attitude, client-focused mindset, and top-notch communication skills.
- PRC and/or foreign legal qualifications (highly desirable).
- Degree from a top law school (PRC or international).
- Excellent English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Proactive, collaborative, and highly organised
