We are loooking for an HSE Manager to join our team in Binzhou. As the HSE Manager you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and continuously develop the HSE management system (means, methods, resources, documents) to comply with local laws and Ahlstrom's health, safety and environment policies and guidelines.
- Define and implement the health, safety and environment objectives and action plans and coordinate continuous improvement actions.
- Provide the local team with HSE-related information, knowledge, training, support and control.
- Evaluate the consequences of changes on health, safety and environment and adjust the organization, documentation, training, technical modifications and suppliers, etc. accordingly.
- Collaborate and manage relations with the health, safety and environment authorities and external service providers.
- Develop leadership and competencies to achieve higher customer value.
- Timely update the law, regulation and standard that have been published recently.
- Check Safety procedure’s implement status with each department, to make sure operators follow SOP; organize and implement the safety accident investigation and report.
- Handle various government inspections, audits, rectifications and implementations.
- Conduct occupational health examinations and manage the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases.
- Create a safety culture and improve the safety awareness of all employees, especially managers; Set and achieve the safety targets with area organization.
- Develop and coordinate safety meetings and networks within the plant, including safety committee work.
- Conduct risk assessments with the team and organize safety improvement activities.
- Provide safety training for all employees, new employees and contractors according to the need, coach supervisors for BBS and risk assessment etc.
Education, Qualification and Skills Required:
- Major in Safety engineering or related field, bachelor's or above degree.
- At least 5 years of HSE management experience in the chemical or related industry.
- Strong understanding of HSE-related knowledge and HSE Performance Management.
- Be well of local laws, regulations, standards, policies and guidelines.
- Continuous improvement methodology knowledge.
- Willingness to study independently and continuously improve safety management level and skills.
- Team player, strong leadership and results-oriented with strong collaboration & communication skills internally and externally with stakeholders.
- Positive attitude, innovative and good work ethic, able to work under high pressure and intensity.
- Fluent in English in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, can communicate with foreign expert.
- Coaching and training abilities.
