Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Financial Controller to join our team and support LGC’s Science for a Safer World mission across China and the APAC region. This role reports to the Global Revenue Controller and works closely with the VP of Commercial China/APAC, based in Singapore.
As Financial Controller, you will lead the operations of our China entity, ensuring accurate reporting, planning, and compliance with both international and local standards. This is a hands-on position within a large, multi-functional division of a global life sciences organisation, offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
You will supervise the full finance and accounting function for our China entity, including monthly financial reporting aligned with IFRS and China GAAP. You will own the daily financial operations, maintaining and improving financial systems (IFS), and delivering regular performance reviews and insights for both China and APAC.
You will be responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, while also supporting tax filings and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with commercial leadership will be essential, as you provide financial insights to guide business decisions. You will also collaborate closely with external institutions such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities, and will handle the annual insurance process for the Group.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
- Proven experience supporting functions in a sophisticated manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
- Advanced Excel Skills is a necessity
- Appetite for some international travel and fast paced commercial culture
- Hybrid work environment (50% office based)
- ACCA or CIMA qualification required
