Position overview:
Optimas is currently seeking a Fastener Specialist Engineer to provide local support to European Automotive teams and projects.
Fastener Specialist Engineer will support local manufacturers to deliver products according automotives requirement leading manufacturers development regarding project Milestones.
Fastener Specialist Engineer will also support European sourcing strategies, to find local manufacturers on specific types of fasteners or technologies.
You will be expected to travel frequently to Manufacturers sites, and will be required to manage multiple projects at once, working with not only the Engineering Team, but also the Purchase, Quality and the Manufacturers.
Main responsibilities:
Fastener Specialist Engineer will be responsible for:
- Lead suppliers development on specific European projects
- Screen local market on specific types of fasteners and/or technologies
- Close collaboration with local Optimas team
- You will be required to maintain and develop a set of key performance indicators that demonstrates Optimas value to key customers, and meets internal Objectives

- Strong Engineering background
- Quality Automotive Assurance background
- Fasterners market background
- Reasonable knowledge of fasteners, mechanical jointing, materials & coatings/finishes
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent communication / Manufacturer management skills
- Good computer skills
- English language
- Driving license
A flexible approach to all projects and tasks with a conscientious hard-working manner will be
essential to this role.
The position will require to travel often
As a key part of the manufacturer facing team at these accounts you are required to present Optimas
