About BASIS International School Nanjing
Opened in 2019, BASIS International School 2019 serves students in Grades Pre-K – 12, and celebrated its first graduating class in 2023. As a Drama Teacher, you lay a foundation for a lifelong love and appreciation for drama and theater by introducing theater vocabulary, history, creative movement, and stage design. You guide students in storytelling and performing for an audience. You emphasize theater and drama as a form of self-expression, while collaborating with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary lessons. Throughout the academic year, you also organize events to showcase your students’ progress and work.
You will also:
- Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory
- Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect
- Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field

Work Experience
Who We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
- Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
