Description
A senior well-groomed person who manages the Development process for Region China under the guidance of the General Manager / Deputy General Manager of Key International. He/she represents and promotes the brands on a Regional level towards Investors and future Owners. He/she brings with him, acquires and maintains contacts with major developers relevant to get deals for hotels.
His/ her goal is to generate quality leads for new hotels and to negotiate contracts, extensions and conversions of deals for projects in close coordination with the Legal Team and the Corporate Office. This is supported by detailed market studies, financial analyses of the projects ensuring their feasibility and interests of the various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Technical Service and other related departments to involve in setting up the strategy and positioning of the brand.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the development process from acquisition of leads to conclusion of the contract.
- Drive contract negotiations in close coordination with the legal counsel.
- Collect detailed project information supporting the approval process and projections.
- Follow the targets set within the Regional Development Strategy in terms of destinations and product criteria.
- Perform pre-fieldwork: Establish contact with the Owners and Investors, clarify mutual expectations and represent the brands.
- Participate in development relevant fairs and tradeshow to acquire contacts and to represent the brands.
- Travel to the subject markets and gather data required for the assignment through interviews with local hotel competition, government officials, and other forms of research.
- Assist in preparing the financial and market feasibility analysis of projects.
- Monitor and evaluate together with Finance the potential project performance against the baseline financial models prepared as part of the feasibility analysis.
- Maintain close communication with the Regional Operations Team, Engineering, Design and Legal as well as Finance, to consider and incorporate their observations or recommendations, as appropriate, in relation to the project.
- Update the Corporate Development Database regularly to report the status and progress on the various projects.
Job Requirements
- Expertise in sales, franchising, hotel management contracts, real estate development, investment bank or institution and high-reputed hotel consultancy firms and / or the hospitality sector are advantageous.
- Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
