Core purpose: The Diagnosis Science Liaison( DSL) is a Medical Affairs personnel conceived as the expert in given diagnostic areas with solid scientific knowledge, has core purpose to engage with Chinese pathologists/physicians in order to develop a communication channel of scientific information related to disease diagnosis and management.
DSL is diagnosis technology based scientific personnel, responsible for scientific communication in given diagnostic areas with KOLs from given hospitals, providing technique support to ensure qualified diagnosis in given disease areas and hospitals, and medical diagnostic input to AZ medical DA team and commercial team through:

• communicating proper diagnosis approaches and techniques with KOLs in pathology department/clinical laboratory in given disease areas and hospitals;
• supporting to set up qualified diagnostic standards including testing process, report templet and quality control standard in given disease areas and hospitals;
• developing KOLs in given diagnostic areas through scientific engagement;
• providing Diagnosis technology and scientific inputs to AZ medical DA team and commercial team on diagnostic strategies.

Essential 必 需

• Academic / Professional qualification / 学 历 / 专 业 资 格

Master Degree and above in molecular biology, clinical laboratory, medical or healthcare related specialty

• Technical / skill training / 技 术 / 技 能 训 练

Solid diagnostic technology, especially NGS and other new diagnostic approaches
Effective and demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a self directed manner
• Working experience (No. of years / 年 资, Job function / 工 作 功 能, Business types / 业 务 种 类 )

2+ years experience in pharmaceutical/diagnostic companies
Experience as diagnostic expert is preferred
Excellent ability of literature comprehension
Ability to integrate and work in cross functional network
Understanding of IFPMA Code, Pharma Code and other related guidance and practical application

• Language ability / 语 言 能 力

Good English comprehension in addition to Mandarin as native language

• Computer literacy / 电 脑 知 识

Microsoft Office proficiency

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES / 主 要 职 责 Key Result Areas (in order of importance) Key Tasks Performance Indicators
External Interaction with KOLs from the given hospitals
(~75% workload)
Through face-to-face/virtual visit, communicate proper diagnostic approaches and techniques in responsible disease areas with KOLs (national & regional) in a fair, balanced and objective manner;
Support to set up qualified diagnostic standards including testing process, report templet and quality control in given disease areas and hospitals;
Provide diagnosis technology input to increase advocacy of KOLs in series of scientific activities;
Help on local speakers pool maintenance and development;
Explore potential clinical study proposal in the field.
Effective execution of external KOL interaction according to working plan aligned with Brand Action Plan;
Clear diagnostic status analysis and development plan in given hospitals;
Effective execution of qualified diagnostic standards supporting in given hospitals;

Effective execution of internal interaction to working plan aligned with Brand Action Plan
Monthly report back to central team local medical practice, key issues and critical activities;
No outstanding finding by internal QC ;
Good feedback from local DA MSL/marketing/sales team and central Team.

Has expertise on medical diagnostic techniques, especially NGS and other new diagnostic approaches. Has an awareness of available scientific resources and demonstrates ability to access most up to date clinical data within designated TAs; Demonstrates clear understanding of relevant clinical data and the ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
