You will join Prysmian China and base in Suzhou, your main responsibilities are:
Strategic Leadership & Growth:
- Develop and implement the China commercial strategy aligned with the Group vision.
- Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on new market opportunities, emerging applications, and disruptive trends within the Chinese wire and cable industry.
- Drive market penetration and share gain across all key segments.
- Lead strategic pricing initiatives to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
Commercial Operations Management:
- Provide leadership to the entire commercial organization, including direct, distributor, and key account sales teams
- Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets and KPIs; relentlessly drive the team to exceed them.
- Oversee the marketing function to ensure strong brand positioning, effective lead generation, and impactful digital & traditional marketing campaigns.
- Manage the sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management processes with a high degree of accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain to ensure customer demands are met regarding product availability, lead times, and custom solutions.
- Partner with the Finance team and Legal Team to manage credit, contracts, and overall commercial risk.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to provide voice-of-customer input and launch new products successfully in the region.
Team Development & Culture:
- Attract, recruit, mentor, and retain top commercial talent.
- Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, customer obsession, and ethical business practices.
- Champion talent development and succession planning within the commercial team.
Who we are looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience, with at least 8-10 years in a senior executive role within a large, multinational industrial environment.
- China Market Expertise: Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of the Chinese industrial landscape, an understanding of regulatory environments, and regional business practices.
- Strategic Acumen: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a documented history of developing winning strategies and translating them into actionable plans that deliver results.
- Financial Literacy: Strong business and financial acumen, with full P&L management experience.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
- Personal Attributes: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Resilient, agile, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization.
