Under minimal direction, assesses complex business problems and systems of interrelated business processes, in order to architect computer-based solutions that provide strategic differentiation for the business. The analyst will be expected to receive input from chiller line of business personnel, form a cohesive set of work instructions and provide technical input and direction to lead systems analysts, architects and /or designers for complex systems development, configuration, and deployment within Chiller Product business systems.
what you will do:
1. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.
2.Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
3. Writes detailed description of user needs, application functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer applications.
4.Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested application or application change is possible within existing system.
5.Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
6. Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail the operations to be automated within the application and those operations to be performed by personnel who interact with the system.
7.Performs analysis on the components of operational systems to optimize performance in such things as response time and down time.
8.Conducts studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs. Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of application development.
9.Upgrades system and corrects errors to maintain system after implementation. May assist Developers in resolution of problems.
10. Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify applications.
11. Utilizes data modeling to generate multiple solutions as a means of identifying optimum solutions.
12.Maintains communications to keep all project work visible and open.
what we want:
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field or equivalent experience required. Minimum five year of product experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. Microsoft SQL Server proficiency a plus. The following qualifications are also essential:
