Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Based in Shenzhen, with oversight responsibilities for both Hong Kong and PRC sites. To support site-level financial operations for 2 entities, this role is pivotal in delivering financial planning and analysis, product costing, managing the financial and accounting functions in Inventory, CM analysis, and assist in related Financial Reporting for sites with an annual sales of US$50million. Be responsible for profitability analysis.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Basically to manage a team of supervisor/ accountant/ assistant accountant and responsible for completion of all financial reporting.
- To ensure high accuracy of current costing / inventory evaluation / related processes / co-ordinate with all possess owners / teams to ensure all data are interfaced to costing team on time, reconciled and accurate.
- Responsible for analysis of variances in manufacturing costs, material costs, CM% against Budget and Forecast on a monthly basis after month-end closing. Completion of month-end costing analysis package and ad-hoc management accounting analysis as directed.
- To prepare annual budgets with justification analysis.
- To support monthly/quarterly forecasting in projecting the inventory bal in B/S and inventory hit in P/L and other inventory or costing related impacts.
- To co-ordinate with toll manufacturing facility in China to ensure proper cut-off, inventory controls and timely reporting are in place.
- To ensure related financial reports are completed accurately in order to comply with local and US statutory requirements on a monthly, quarterly or year basis and in very tight timeline.
- To oversee and implement financial and internal controls including SOX and internal financial policy requirements within Costing / Inventory controls process.
- Act as a finance business partner to site leaders and cross-functional teams.
- To complete any ad hoc assignment instruction by manager or director.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Degree holder with major in Accounting or Finance, or Certified Public Accountant.
- Fluent in English & Chinese (including Mandarin).
- Minimum 6 years relevant working experience in multinational manufacturing companies / audit firm
- Proficiency in Excel is must.
- Experience in analysis and management accounting are preferred.
- Good grasp of internal controls, Sarbanes Oxley exposure is an advantage.
- Knowledge Hyperion/ ERP system e.g. Oracle is preferred.
- Mature, self-motivated, independent and a good team player.
- Able to work OT and under pressure with minimum supervision and keen to meet deadlines.
- Possesses good analytical mind and keen on identifying, supporting and driving for continuous. improvement to existing processes.
