As the Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant, you are part of the Finance Team that supports the shared service finance operation in the Asia Pacific Region.
About You
We’re recruiting an Accounting & Reporting (A&R) Accountant reporting to the A&R Manager, based in Shanghai.
You are responsible for the company's daily accounting work, accurately recording and accounting following relevant accounting standards, handling foreign currency transactions and other business operations, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and participating in BSAR and RCM. Communicate and collaborate with relevant internal and external personnel to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and smooth progress of financial work.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Be responsible for the company's daily accounting, including accounting treatment, preparation of accounting vouchers, etc., to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Classify, record and account for company business operations in accordance with local accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as the company's internal financial policy. Process transactions involving different currencies, perform foreign currency conversions and exchange rate adjustments.
- Assist in preparing the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow forecast, etc., to provide accurate financial information for the company's management.
- Participate/support the data preparation of the company's financial budget, monitor and analyze the performance of each department, report any anomalies in a timely manner, and assist in identifying the causes.
- Be responsible for communicating and coordinating with the financial personnel of multinational subsidiaries or branches to ensure the consistency and compliance of financial data and assist in solving problems in financial accounting.
- Cooperate with external audit institutions in annual audits and special audits, provide relevant financial materials and explanations to ensure the smooth progress of the audit work.

This role is assigned to operate in Shanghai, Xuhui District
What You’ll have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may be working towards a professional qualification.
- Developing knowledge of methodologies, processes, practices, and common issues of the Accounting & Reporting function.
- Able to convey straightforward technical and non-technical information to audiences that generally understand the subject matter. Communication is normally within the team and closely related teams to assist with accounting-related queries and support.
- Primarily focuses on providing support to the team.
- Able to work under general supervision, with some guidance from a competent professional or manager needed from time to time.
